Villa Jones wins RIBA 2007 award

Architect Dixon Jones received the 2007 RIBA award for his

residential project in the south of France, the Villa Jones.

Naturally, it`s not all about awards – this project in particular has more to it than meets the eye. The unusual blend of styles, or rather an absence of them, the multitude of different living-playing-relaxing areas, some of them indoor, other concieved as outdoor living rooms, as seen on the above picture.

The elongated floorplan of the villa led way to for the architect to create some interesting features such as 60 metre long pergola and 14 metre (salt system) pool with shower.
